1) Thaw turkey in its container on a tray in the refrigerator for 36 hours. Never thaw at room temperature or with lukewarm water because it will alter its flavor, color and nutritional values. To serve cold, once defrosted, leave the turkey at room temperature for 15 minutes
2) Once defrosted, carefully remove the outer bag by cutting at the foot of the staple, being careful not to pierce the inner bag.
3) Preheat oven to 350°F (177°C)
4) Place the turkey on a baking sheet with the inner bag, breast side up.
5) Place the turkey in the oven and heat for 20 minutes per pound of weight.
6) Once hot, let the turkey rest for 20 minutes, then remove the bag.
7) Take care when removing the bag as the juices may be hot, these can be used as a gravy base or to baste the turkey when serving.
